I did not know this

A STATE legislature can recommend an investigation (or impeachment!) of the President.

Why is Congress' Katrina investigation being stonewalled? Where has the $87 billion been spent?

Our state reps can demand answers for such questions, unlike our GOP-dominated U.S. Congressional delegation, who continue to "hope" that they can "change the president's mind". After every disappointment, they'll continue to "hope" and try to soothe their constituents by saying they're "working hard" to convince the President to not oppose crucial legislation like the Baker bill.

interesting....but you actually think the LA state legislature is gonna make a move so bold? Darden would scuttle that before it hit the floor. It would be great if we could look past party lines and stand up to this admin. but you have to remember that the Baptists in Monroe and Shreveport don't give two shits to Jesus about N.O....unless they're tying to figure out how they can get more money off our (former) economy and convention center. These are the idiots who still believe Bush was right when he told that asswipe, "You're doing a heckuva job." Unforutnately our state legislature couldn't find their ass from a hole in the ground. But damn....it would be a beautiful thing if LA was the catalyst by which Bush was impeached.

Impeachment is too large of a leap even for torches and pitchfork weilders like me.

If this is a means to make change real, let's do it!

Probably more effective than that levee rally.

All I took home from that was an empty ice chest and empty recyclables with NO RECYCLING in Orleans parish!

fuck impeachment....let's indict him in Federal court! Jesus...that might just work...wouldn't that be the schnizzel...New Orleans Federal Court Indicts the W. He killed us, but on our way down we take him with us and save the country. It's pure Shakespeare.

REVESE ANGLE - TWILIGHT - (AND INTERCUT)

The five survivors of the Enterprise, temporarily safe, watch in awe and grief as their home of twenty years dies in the ominous skies beyond. On each face, the light left by the Enterprise flickers, then at last, is gone. Kirk watches with hollowed eyes.

My god, Bones. What have I done?

What you had to do. What you always do. Turned death into a fighting chance to live.
