We shouldn't question the wisdom of the man who developed the "
That might annoy someone.
Actually, the History Channel did a thing a while back on the Magic Bullet and replicated the shot. The show talked a lot about gunny stuff like ballistics and terminal effect and the relative positioning of the people in JFK's car. Then, a marksman replicated the shot. The bullet was almost pristine.
While I still don't believe a single gunman awaited JFK in Dallas that fateful day, I do believe that the Magic Bullet shot was possible.
If I've just annoyed anyone, I apologize.
Can that law even be enforced? Sounds like the great videotape debate of 1984.
I know, it's ironic I'm the one worried about this, but it does bother me. And it positively reeks of ulterior motives.

Yeah, as kind of a junkie for that sort of stuff, I saw the History channel show too. And it certainly is possible. Someone developed a hideously realistic video game trying to replicate the assassination. It was called JFK reloaded, and thousands of people downloaded it and attempted to "thread the needle", so to speak. I think the winner had around 800 of 1000 possible points.
Link!
I believe the single bullet is possible, too, just for the record.
One more thing, I think the History Channel also had a show on the RFK assassination. While the ballistics regarding JFK seem bizarre but potentially explainable, the ballistics evidence in the RFK case can only be explained in terms of a conspiracy, in my opinion. And a conspiracy in the RFK assassination throws additional suspicion upon the lone-gunman theory of the JFK assassination.
Here's the "use your name" issue in action:
Homeowner who assumed names to protest now faces lawsuit
I'm not defending this guy's Sybil-like schizophrenia with online identities, but the company suing him came right out and said "Chris Calvin can say any opinion he wants as long as he puts his name on it. Chris Calvin can't be a mob of 30 people."
[my emphasis]
Every time I've thought about finally putting my "real" name directly to Polimom Says..., I've stalled the decision. Just as well, since I've annoyed plenty of folks (and probably will continue to do so).
