If no issue is "more important" than the definition of marriage...
---
Update: Quote of the day, courtesy of Loki: "You know David Vitter was in my class at De La Salle back in the 80's. We did not share many classes (I was in Advanced Placement,) but I knew him."
Letter of the day can be found at Spasticrobot. Go read it. (Hat tip to Blake.)

Why? Because he's a lying sack of shit, that's why.

I can't believe a "family values" politician would lie.
Why does he list his "issues" in an alphabetized, non-prioritized list?
Why are flood protection and wetlands restoration not prominently highlighted, but buried (apparently) somewhere in a bland list?
It would be pathetic if it weren't so criminally negligent. He's playing around with our lives, property, livelihoods, and the precious international treasure that is our culture.
Thanks for providing the link and making me want to vomit.
Nice catch, oyster! Hopefully, Vitter will have to eat a lot of crow with this one.
It's very comforting, though, to know that Vitter is all for "Life and Values." A very bold stance, indeed.
