You can't spell Louisiana without U, S and A
Some of my esteemed fellow Pelicans are feeling less than deliriously happy this 4th of July holiday.
Will N.O. still be here on July 4, 2026?We are not OKIndependence DaySpeaking Frankly..."Oprah Help Us"And while I agree in the main with the content of these posts, I'll also add that today I couldn't be more grateful to all the Americans who keep South Louisiana in their hearts, and who look past its absurdities, and who donate their time, money and sweat to help us rebuild.
We are strongest when we work together to accomplish great things.

Dear Bivalve,
I couldn't agree more. Bless the common folks that helped our people out.
Happy Fourth!
I'm on vacation in Sierra Vista Arizona. Went to all the corny Independence Day celebrations today and it was great.
As I talk to people from here they have the greatest sympathy for us. They've all given to their churches relief funds and some even came down to help.
We are blessed to be in a great country but Louisiana must rebuild itself. The country hasn't forgotten, a lot of it is that they just cannot fathom the damage.
I hopw everyone had a great Independence Day and I hope that we all know we are very lucky to live here.
