RT3
After some informal discussions, it seems that
Rising Tide 3 should again occur the weekend before the Katrina/Federal Flood anniversary (8/29).
So save the dates: Rising Tide 3 will be held in New Orleans August 22, 23, 24.
Tentative Schedule outline:
Friday August 22: Probably a social gathering in the evening.
Saturday August 23: All day Conference
Sunday August 24: Volunteer/Service Day
More details coming soon.

Damn! I'll have to miss it AGAIN! I'm flying out to go the Democratic Convention either that Friday or Staurday.
Well, CRUD, Ryan.
Don't look at it that way, Ryan... we're actually attending the Rising Tide 3 "satellite conference" in Denver.
True, dan, true ... but i was hoping to meet all the NOLA bloggers and RT 3 was the contenda. Perhaps I can fly out Saturday morning early ... and have drinks with y'all Friday night. We'll see.
Ryan, Oyster, and Dan,
What if we concocted some sort of satellite RT3 at the Convention?
The New Orleans "Jam-Balaya" is that Sunday, after all.
Sweeeeet.
Can we clone ourselves in the bargain? Heh.
I suppose it will have to be Tweetered. Of course that will look something like:
Attendee 1: At RT3
Attendee 2: Coffee is good
Attendee 3: Wondering if I left the oven on.
Attendee 4: Thinking about ways to mash-up my SQL so that I don't get my UBXT4 server squished against my mapping Yertles again.
Attendee 3: I'm at RT3
Attendee 1: @Attendee 2 Mmmm coffee! LOL
So you can see, you guys who can't make it have nothing to worry about. It'll all be right there in the Tweeter Tube.
YES! I love Southwest right now. I was able to secure non-stop flights to and from NOLA leaving late Saturday afternoon!
So I'll be able to attend the Friday night session.
Lamar ... a satellite RT 3 sounds interesting. Anyone have a video camera that they can capture some of the volunteering going on Sunday and post to YouTube by Sunday afternoon? I ask, because that would be a nice way to kick off the Convention coverage at Kingfish.
