That'd be nominally better than the other name I've heard floated--Holy Joe Lieberman.
Of course Jindal's no Barack Obama when it comes to oratorical skills, but I don't think he'd embarrass himself...instead, he'd probably come across sounding like a mix of Ronald Reagan, Jr. in 2004 and Bill Clinton's keynote in 1988.
Reagan Jr. had the misfortune of following Obama at the podium. If I remember right, he spoke about stem-cell research, and came across as part infomercial emcee, part Science Guy on PBS. Clinton almost delivered his own political obituary in droning on far longer than he should have, although by 1992 that was mostly forgotten.
I don't think Jindal will drone on for too long like CLinton, but I'm wondering if he'll be an "electric" presence. The crowd will eat him up, no doubt, but I'm wondering how he will structure his speech. I assume he'll talk a lot about what he's done in LA (rather than attack the Dems) and I wonder how talking about Louisiana will play both nationally and locally.
For Bobby, it might be one of those "be careful what you wish for" scenarios.
How fast will he talk?
Oratory is not his strong suit.
