Palin: rhymes with Van Halen and dragonslayin'

1. Greg's initial reactions were similar to my own. (Sarah Palin is a young hard right conservative who rode to the Governor's mansion on ethics reform. She's been in office 20 months and already "abuse of power" concerns have arisen. Poor Bobby Jindal. He didn't get the GOP keynote address, and someone with a thinner resume and less foreign experience got the Veep pick.)

2. Van Haggar Halen was oddly prescient. (Update: Now they're pissed. Also: Wander this World blog, formerly "Carpe Noctem", has an important "Male Stars Update" you should see.)

3. This is off topic but.... FOUR!? What the hell? Seems like every time a camel passes gas in W. Africa, another weather disturbance spins off.

How long has Obama been in the Senate again?

Thanks, I'll hang up and listen...

Oh, and when your campaign is all about Hope, Change, and Unity, JOE BIDEN doesn't exactly reinforce that...

But, I guess when the Trial Lawyers got pinched by Edwards telling "99% of the truth"...Mr. Biden became as much change as they could stomach, eh?

GOD why do we have to talk national partisan politics, here?

Obama's been in the U.S Senate twice as long as Palin has been Gov, and was a State Senator for eight years before that. Prior to that he was a community organizer. Also, he taught Constitutional Law for 12 years.

For the past year and a half he has run a tough, successful, innovative presidential campaign.

You're right, Biden doesn't reinforce the change thing.

But you're wrong thinking that anyone HAS to talk "national partisan politics" at YRHT. In this post, for example, readers are invited to discuss Eddie Van Halen (#2), or tropical storms (#3).

You're playing the Illinois State Senate card as proof of legislative/governmental experience chops?

How many present votes did the guy that says he wants to "Make the tough decisions" and use "aggressive diplomacy" to make Agamamemnonilltakeablowjobedad over in Tehran?

The guy started his career with an avowed wacknut in Ayers, then punked out in crunchtime when it came to representing the very community he was allegedly "organizing" in for years...

He moves on to the Senate, and you can't say a damn thing he's done there...Not even his Kool-Aid drinking fans can do that, LOL...

The guy's an orator along the modern days lines of William Jennings Bryan, but he's like a line out of Hamlet...

Barack Hussein Obama is, "Full of Sound & Fury, Signifying Nothing..."

You have few better prepared speakers in your party, but never has a party put out a candidate who said more about saying nothing than he has...
