"87% ballsy"
Just for the record, let me say that I would've taken
the under on this one. I was probably more surprised than you were
after learning that that YRHT
scored tested out so masculine on this
gender analyzer. The eighty-seven percent range is pretty high*. I'm particularly pleased to have "outmanned"
Drive by Blogger(78%) and
Pawpaw (75%), and, somehow,
Jesus' General (73%).
Beating
Jeffrey (64*%) on the scale of absolute gender... well, let's face it, that wasn't terribly difficult. I could probably transform YRHT into a Morrissey fan blog and still score higher than that wanker. But beating out
Raving Black Lunatic (71%)-- now that's impressive!

* or low, depending on your point of view

HA! Ain't that a hoot?
I'm still trying to figure out what my score is based on. Could have something to do with the volume of reference to feminine hygiene products...
Congratulations Oyster, that is quite manly. You've tied with Glenn Greenwald. My site only scored an 84, take it for what it's worth.
Fun stuff.
My blog is 86% manly.
That's kinda freaking me out.
Jeffrey, I think it has to do with the ingestion of all that Rodeo Lawyer Beer...and the cat blogging...and Jennifer Faith...and the Harry Potter blogging...
The Gender Analyzer seems to add a whole new...errr... DIMENSION to any sort of genital measuring contests.
Hah! The Daily Kingfish scored an 88%. Kinda surprised by DBB scoring lower. Woulda thought he'd be in the 90's.
Oh,you man you. ;)
I'm 56% woman -- "however quite gender neutral".
Can't figure out if that's good or bad.
I'm 83% man and actually a bit bummed about it. I always thought that I was much more in tune with my feminine side. I've just run the test on my blog. And now I'm going to put up a new posting that has three words: Pink Barbie Ballet. And we'll see what happens. I'll report back in a few.
Hmmm. Still at 83%.
blog.threepipeproblem.com -- 88% male. Take that, Oyster!
You're only 1% ballsier than Susie Madrak. The analyzer obviously has trouble identifying women. I don't take this kind of thing seriously, but I'm really curious about their methodology. Since one post can move the "score" by two percentage points, I assumed they scanned for certain markers in your last several posts. Judging by Huck's results, they must go back a number of words rather than a number of posts. If I had an hour or two to kill, I'd post paragraphs my famous writers and see how they changed the percentage. But I'm not that curious, and I certainly don't take it that seriously.
I am taking "Introduction to Problem solving and Programming," so that's part of the reason for the curiosity. Trying to figure out what kind of algorithm they came up with.
blog.lj4a.com: 78% man.
obama.lj4a.com: 80% man (apparently I am more manly when supporting Obama)
Jindalisbad.com: 84% man (I do most of the blogging there, though i dont own it, apparently being against Jindal makes one even more manly).
But the actual URL, www.lj4a.com, gives me a score of 85% man.
Oyster, hate to pop yer bubble but on 3 tries for YRHT drew only 85%.
Sorry, man. Perhaps it is your mood in the mornings.
I got 77% male. Go figure.
To faux with BSJ regarding the algorithms: Gentilly got 77% Male.
My friend at Hrrmph got 95% Male. (y'all can go see her picture)
Liptrap got 66% Female.
I tried a few more, 3 tries each.
Perchance Genderalization should be better applied to cloned sheep?
Yeah, Princess Sparkle Pony's Photo Blog (sparklepony.blogspot.com) gets 65% man. But I think that that blog might actually be written by a man.
We think http://thewoundedbird.blogspot.com/ is written by a man (80%).
That's what they say. I ask you: am I a man and don't know it?
