Thank you, Mr. President Elect!
From
Noladder, we learn of this
webtube news:[A]t his main site BarackObama.com, Obama flipped on a splash page today to request donations for victims of Hurricane Gustav -- which socked the Louisiana and Texas coast back on Aug. 25. Obama has created an online fund-raising engine that churned in millions of dollars and had to stop raising funds for himself on Nov. 4; rather than shut down the engine, he's simply redirected the horsepower.

Thanks Oyster!
Yer such a Prince Amongst Mollusks!
I actually thought of you when spying this article.
It seemed like the smart thing to do.
Has anyone invited our new President to Brunch?
But I do have a new plan to seize this Golden Opportunity!
Let's all write the President a letter! Like, ya'know, By Hand!
I know... I actually had to find an implement, a p,e,n,c,i,l and give it a try to remember how to do it. <-(HA! Story'0'my life!:)
I don't care which hand you use, as we understand this to be a thing wit'youz, but we should all write the President a real letter... and invite him to Brunch in New Orleans! Think of all the Happy Times you've had waking up to the world in the only place that knows how yes?
Mmmmmm....Oysters Rockefeller...
At least this is a step in the right direction after 3+ years of benign neglect.
I like the brunch idea.
"Once when President Franklin Roosevelt dined on Oysters Rockefeller, the appetizer creation of Antoine's Restaurant in New Orleans (and thought to be America's single greatest contribution to haute cuisine), New Orleans Mayor Robert Maestri leaned over, and in typical Ninth Ward New Orleans-ese convivially queried the President, 'How ya like dem ersters?'"
