Sounds more like menopause, if you ask me.

yah dem chopahs was a real pain in the ass over here in gentilly.

they kept waking me up and giving me the post -k night sweats.

they were flying low and doing the house shaking low bass thump.

when i went out on my porch i couldnt even see them birds.

i finaly saw one in the night light and it was all x files black choppa.

thank the lord sweet jeebus that i had read about the " exorcise" in the paper or i might have freaked out more than my katrina p.t.s.d. wanted me to.

i allways thought of my self as a lucky fella for being to young for viet nam and to old for the first iraq.

right now as i type this there has been some low bass sonic boom shit going off about every 5 min. for the last 2 hours in gentily.

cant figure out the source but it feels like what mama d must have felt.

i hear a loud boom so i must assume the worst.

what the hell?

when i first read bart's post script to his jena forum
i had the same take as dr. wu.

at the same time i think that we all gotta take a deep breath and and give folks some slack for post katrina p.t.s.d.

update:

just had a dozen choppahs fly by the house hauling ass.

reminds me of the old outlaw drag races on the chef and wisner.

i just hope they say good night gracie and make their next exercise in the outback.

one more reason to rebuild our wetlands.

peace onya brah.

post script.

i in no way was ever in those drag races.

for the record.

them choppah dudes were hauling ass in a way ive never seen on the old drag strips.

not that ive ever been to one of them old drag strips.

that was all word of mouth , i swear.

at least the weird sonic booms have stopped.

Another Gentilly report...I heard the deep "booms" as well last night--I even went out back to make sure no one had gotten into my garage or something. To me and my son it sounded most like large, heavy objects being dumped (not gently) into one of those large metal dumpsters. A sound I hear fairly often in the refinery I work in.

So far no choppers or booms tonight.
