When Jindal retires from politics...

...perhaps he can get a job as one of Jeff Dunham's pathetic comedy props.

Think Progress:

The AP reported earlier this month that Gov. Bobby Jindal’s (R-LA) administration is planning to request $300 million dollars from the federal government to develop a high-speed rail between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. The trains, which would run at about 79mph, would be part of a larger Gulf Coast rail plan with top speeds of 110mph. Much of the money, however, comes from the Recovery Act, a stimulus measure Jindal not only opposed, but recently called a failure.
Despite Jindal’s political grandstanding, officials in his own administration have praised the idea of high-speed rail. “Long term, we see it as a very valuable economic incubator for the entire corridor, ” said Tom Atkinson, an official in the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.

Hell is funny, People are a drag

I don't do many movie reviews anymore, but I will make an exception for two funny non-comedies that entertained me more than (the fairly funny) Hangover, and the execrable Year One. In a nutshell:

Funny People-- demon goat curse of selfishness not so easily vanquished. Warning: friend sacrifice and an appearance by the Apple computer guy . Overuse of genital humor is in your face.

Drag Me to Hell-- gypsy demon goat curse not so easily vanquished. Warning: animal sacrifice and an appearance by the Apple computer guy. Overuse of vomiting old woman is in your face.

The Obamacaust cannot be denied

During my Ant-induced hiatus, I've missed out on the ongoing national debate over healthcare reform. Please indulge me, as I "catch up" on the lucid argumentation coming from the right. I'm sure it has been responsible and high-toned . Let's examine a summary of Obama's plan as stated in a conservative petition:

So let me summarize Obama's health care plan 1) Euthenizes grandma 2) Mandates funding of murder of innocent children 3) Empowers atheist litigants to outlaw the healing power of the Christian faith 4) Refuses to exclude funding for sex-change operations

I had no idea.

But then again, what kind of plan should I expect from a President who is, according to Glenn Beck, "a racist" with a "deep seated hatred of white people"? It all makes sense* now. How else can you explain Obama's white grandmother expiring so conveniently before the 2008 presidential election? During his highly publicized visit with her, Obama must've taken his granny to a secret death star chamber (a prototype of the current death panels) and made an appointment for her to meet the reaper on election eve. Thus, it became a twofer: Obama got rid of his white devil granny, and gained enough sympathy votes from gullible white voters to seize control of government. Naturally this conspiracy (like the Kenyan birth story) was ignored by the Main Stream Media. The result: we are now undergoing a Liberal Socialist-Fascist takeover the likes of which we haven't seen since the "20 years of treason" during the Roosevelt/Truman terms, or the 1960's Civil Rights Enslavement of white America.

And what's this part about the sex change operations? Can we get a little more info on that item?

Your tax-dollars will pay for preferential hiring of homosexual hospital administrators, who distribute $50,000 grants to gender-confused activists for unneeded elective surgery to mutilate their own genitals, (and force Christian doctors to perform it.)

Wow. Two weeks ago I sort of anticipated this dystopia in a thought experiment.

Most troubling is how the Obama Youth just fall in line with these creeping fascist socialist totalitarianist plans. For example, the other day a young lady interrupted a meeting of patriots in Pineville who were denouncing the prospect of government involvement in a sector of the economy already suffused with government involvement. The lady made the mistake of wearing an Obama shirt and being a college student. She was advised by the crowd to "get a job" or "go to war" if she wanted health insurance. Damn straight.

And now I hear** that Obama has selected Rick Pitino to head the Panel on Mandatory Abortion Funding. It all gets worser and worser.

"Common Sense", that is
** this may be an auditory hallucination
