I suppose John Edwards could mobilize his anti-poverty foundation to provide rebuilding and relief assistance to haiti-- oh, wait,
that's right, I forgot. The former presidential candidate
shut down his foundation when it could no longer serve his political interests. And let's not forget that Edwards also
shut down his "College for Everyone" program, which is
worse than the hideously empty promise made in the
"Scott's Tots" Office episode, which is
perhaps "the worst thing any sitcom character has ever done".
So, after seeing him
use the lower 9th ward as a campaign photo op, should we question Edwards' motives for his latest humanitarian mission to Haiti? Could there be any other reasons for the trip?

Former presidential candidate John Edwards abandoned his long denial that he had fathered a child during an affair with a campaign aide and admitted today that he is the father of the almost 2-year-old girl.
"I am Quinn's father," Edwards said in the bombshell statement this morning. "I will do everything in my power to provide her with the love and support she deserves."
The former senator and presidential hopeful had an affair with campaign cinematographer Rielle Hunter, 45, and she later give birth to Frances Quinn.
Edwards' admission comes a week before the man who had claimed he was the baby's father, former aide Andrew Young, was scheduled to appear in an exclusive interview on "20/20".
In an excerpt from his upcoming interview with ABC News's Bob Woodruff, Young alleges that Edwards asked him to arrange a fake a paternity test.
"Get a doctor to fake the DNA results," Young said Edwards told him. "And he asked me ... to steal a diaper from the baby so he could secretly do a DNA test to find out if this [was] indeed his child."

Edwards was in Haiti today working on earthquake relief and said only, "I've said what I have to say for now and I'm here to help people."
What a freakish soulless skeazy douchebag this guy turned out to be.

I'll admit I'm probably biased against big time plaintiffs attorneys, but it's best to be wary of any man who made his millions on the backs of the poor.
Good lord that review of that Office episode is itself quite painful to read. The way it's written, you would think that this actually happened to some actual children. It's just a TV show. What is wrong with people?
Frolic has it right. Edwards made a living paying off doctors and other "experts" to offer bogus opinions in order to convince a jury to award his undeserving clients millions of dollars. Trial lawyers throughout American do this every day. Are we now shocked when he asks a staffer to pay off a doctor when his hide's on the line? Remember, this is the same clown who said an Edwards presidential victory would cure paralysis, allowing Christoper Reeves to "get up out of that chair and walk again." Sort've like John Edwards making a "bombshell" statement today...Did ANYONE not think the kid was his? Did you guys read that book excerpt detailing his behavior & his wife's on the campaign trail early?
