Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., has outlined a fairly fast evaluation process as she prepares to recommend three candidates to replace Jim Letten as U.S. Attorney in New Orleans.
Today Fox8 informs us:

U.S. Senator Mary L. Landrieu on Friday recommended New Orleans attorney Kenneth Allen Polite Jr., to the President for the key federal appointment of U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
